August 2009 - Well what a day we had at the Hound Show in Stafford, the rain did not stop for a minute, in fact it got worse as the day wore on! It was a total contrast to last years Hound Show where the sun shone all day. Saying that i think the dogs enjoyed an excuse to get wet and mucky, LOL

We hope to take a couple of them camping this month but we shall see what the weather brings first!

July 2009 - Well were being plagued by moles in our garden!! There's mole hills appearing everywhere!! You'd think that the dogs would scare them away but no they live in harmony with them. As recommended we did put children's windmill wands into the hills, apparently the vibrations scare the moles away. Sadly Jesse had other ideas, he used an old Griffon law, if i can reach it it's mine, LOL He took the windmills out and tried to eat them, before we quickly took them off him!

Georgie did us proud at the Blackpool Champ show taking Reserve Best Bitch. It was an extra special moment because the judge was Mr G Johnston the highly regarded judge of hounds who sadly passed away several days after this show.

May 2009 - Jesse won Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Border Counties Hound Show, Lancaster!!

It was one of those days where everything was going wrong, we left the house late, arrived at the show to find our entries hadn't arrived (luckily we had tons of proof of posting) Jesse then managed to spill all his water over himself.

Anyway after winning his breed class then Best of Breed (beating our own Georgie which didn't go down well with her highness at all, LOL) he was through to Best Puppy in Show. We never imagined he'd get anywhere so we were amazed, shocked and happy beyond belief that he got RBPIS, what a day!!!

March 2009 - A great start to March, Georgie was placed 2nd in GBGV Post Grad Bitch Class at Crufts! This result means she has qualified for Crufts 2010. This was our first show since August 2008 and we are very proud of Georgie.

Its also been nearly 12 months since Toby suffered his illness. He's come on a lot from then and he manages very well, he gets around slowly but surely. He's even gotten used to not having the long walks that he loved. Now when the others are going on a long walk he gets into his bed as if he realises he couldn't cope with them.

February 2009 - We had a surprise on the 30 Jan, while watching Granada Reports. A few weeks previous we had emailed a video of Georgie when she was still a pup of her doing her party trick, taking Gwyns glasses off. Granada Reports aired the video as part of their "Talented Pets" item. We were speechless as it was totally without warning. Georgie was a bit miffed though because she was referred to as a boy 8-)

January 2009 - Well Christmas is over and Jesse has really made himself at home! All four of them had presents and of course Jesse claimed all the toys as his own, although JJ does occasionally get the chance to pinch one from him 8-)

We think Toby has improved as much as we think he ever will but he ambles along in his own way, although this cold weather doesn't suit him at all, so it's more common to find him curled up in one of the dog beds by the fire. We do find that the corteflex supplement helps him alot.

JJ is his usual bouncy, loud self 8-) Everyone who meets him loves him and he's even taken to Jesse.

Georgie has been a fantastic adoptive mum to Jesse, making sure he's ok, even crying for him when he's out of her sight. She is now starting to get back to normal though and realising he can be a little pain, specially when that means he's hanging off her tail!
